  • Temporary Assignments

Short term, long term, and indefinite.

  • Temp-To-Hire Assignments

This is a trial hiring period.  You initially are our employee and you must remain on our payroll for 450 hours worked if full time, and 280 hours worked if part time before the employer may hire you onto their payroll. 

  • Direct-Hire Placement

The employer may choose to pay a direct hire placement fee and hire you directly onto their payroll.

  • Payroll Services

Sometimes employers choose their own temporary employees and place them on our payroll as "payrollers".

  • Time Sheets

Time sheets are due into our office by noon on Monday after the week you have worked.  You and your supervisor must both sign your time sheet.  You must submit separate time sheets if you work for more than one company or department within the same week.  Our time sheet is designed as a fax sheet.  You may ask your employer if you may fax it to us before you leave work at the end of the work week, or you may mail it or drop it off in person to our office. 

  • Paychecks

Our payroll is processed weekly.  Employees are paid on Wednesdays.  The pay week runs from Sunday through Saturday.  You can designate on your time sheet if you want that week's paycheck mailed to your home of if you would like it held so that you can pick it up in our office.  Direct Deposit is also available.

Employee/Candidate guidelines . . .

  • Worker's Compensation

In the event that you are injured on the job, you need to follow a very strict procedure in order to be considered for coverage by this program.

  • Step One: In an emergency, go to the most convenient health care provider.
  • Step Two: Call our Managed Care Organization, CareWorks of Ohio, immediately at 1-888-627-7586 for a claim number so that your medical expenses can be considered for coverage.
  • Step Three: Call Carey Staffing to report your injury.
  • Step Four: All follow-up treatment after the emergency must be obtained through a provider listed with CareWorks of Ohio and/or certified by the Bureau of Workers' Compensation.
  • Please Call Us . . . 
    • If you will be late reporting for work.
    • If you have to call off work.
    • If you have any problems on the job.
    • If you need to end your assignment.
  • Tips For Success
  • Before starting a new job: Make certain that you know:
    • how to get there,
    • where to park,
    • who to report to,
    • your schedule,
    • lunch and break arrangements,
    • the appropriate dress code.
  • First day on the job: 
    • Arrive at least 5 minutes early and have your time sheet with you.
    • Please dress conservatively until you are confident in your knowledge of the dress code.
  • On the job:
    • Respect your employer and do not use company equipment, Internet access or telephone services for personal reasons without permission.
    • Do not take your cell phone in to work with you unless it is turned off.
    • If you need to call to check on children, please make these arrangements in advance with your supervisor.
    • You may give your family our phone number for an emergency and we will get word to you right away.
    • Do not take many personal items to your work site until the company formally hires you.
